Nana Nana
Nana Nana written by Nate Bertone and illustrated by James Claridades is a heartwarming story about a boy named Nate and his grandma. Nana has “always been playful, loving and kind.” When Nate asks Nana to read a book, Nana has trouble and he gets worried. “What is happening to his nana?” This wonderful book rhymes and tells a story of acceptance about a difficult disease and being grateful for the special moments. It’s also a playful book with interesting illustrations that bring the story to life. The author also touches on death in a gentle way that children can understand.
In the back of the story, the author shares information about The Alzheimer’s Association and Hilarity for Charity, Bringing Light to Alzheimers.
