I talk in different ways
I talk in different ways written by Amanda Hartmann and illustrated by Nanhee Ha is a colorful and engaging book about how we communicate in different ways. The book reviews all the different ways we can communicate including verbalizations, gestures, body language and AAC. I love how the book explains AAC in a simple and comprehensive way that children of all ages can relate to and understand. At the end of the book the author reviews all different ways to communicate in a thorough list. This can be a great opportunity for a discussion when reading to a classroom. I also love how Amanda explains various communicative functions such as telling stories, expressing feelings and commenting. I talk in different ways is a wonderful book for any school or home library!
