Me & My AAC
Me & My AAC written by Tabitha Cabrera and illustrated by Michael Barnett is wonderful picture book about a young boy learning how to use AAC. The text in the book are symbols to describe what Ben is thinking and how he learns to communicate.
This is a great book to read with your child/student that is learning how to use AAC. It’s an interesting way to read a book and very unique! It emphasizes how AAC users are communicating, which is often through picture icons on an iPad or other tablet.
Tabitha Cabrera is an Attorney with a Human Service degree and a Juris Doctorate. He has spent her career working in public service.
