Looking Through My Eyes

Looking Through My Eyes

Looking Through My Eyes written by Lydia Dawley and illustrated by Jennifer Hyles is a wonderful picture book. It takes the reader through Lydia’s journey with communication, her family and various experiences as a 9 year old girl with Mixed Cerebral Palsy. She explains the different type of assistive technology she uses such as special reins for horseback riding, her AAC device and different support she receives in the classroom. Lydia also explains how she feels when people talk to her like a baby or don’t include her in a conversation. This is an important perspective for all!

Lydia Dawley is the CEO and Founder of Click.Speak.Connect. She has Mixed Cerebral Palsy, uses a wheelchair for mobility, and communicates using an iPad.
