Alysson Bourque, Author of The Alycat Series

Alysson Bourque began her career as a teacher after graduating from University of Louisiana Lafayette with a degree in Elementary Education. She earned a juris doctor law degree from the Southern University Law Center. After practicing law for six years, she traded in writing trial briefs for writing children’s books.

Alysson enjoys speaking with children and teachers at school and library visits. She is continually inspired to keep writing children’s books from her experiences.

Since the release of the first book of the Alycat series, Alysson has sold over 10,000 Alycat books. In addition to being an author, she is also a News15 KidLit Contributor. Listen to our podcast to learn more about about Alysson!
