About the Book
My Book about Brains, Change and Dementia written by Lynda Moore and illustrated by George Haddon breaks down misconceptions about dementia, It speaks directly to young children about the realities of the disease. With it’s engaging illustrations and simple language, young children will begin to understand the complexity of dementia.
Lynda Moore is an author and also a family counselor that works with children that are impacted by dementia. This book provides a guide for adults plus alternative ways of reading the book for young and older children. What happens as dementia progresses? The reader can choose to talk about the concept of death or skip through the pages and not address this topic.

My Book about Brain, Change and Dementia also introduces children to more complicated words such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Lewy Body Disease, Frontotemporal Dementia and Vascular Dementia.
